Giant Foxtail/Green/Faber‘s Foxtail: This species was recently introduced to this continent. Being annuals, the foxtail grasses produce many seeds and are a valuable food source for birds. Setaria named for seta (L.= bristle) bears bristles subtending each flower on the cylindrical inflorescence.
