Joe-Pye-Weed: The ovate leaves are distinctive as they are contracted abruptly into a petiole. Height of plants 3-5‘. Stem of this species may be solid or hollow. Veination of the leaves appears palmately 3-veined from near the basegcompagé with Ejfistuzosum which has more leaves in whorls and short veins on either side of the mid-vein.
