Tall Goldenrod: common in Connecticut. It has many lanceolate leaves, scabrous above, pubescent below and scarcely serrate; it grows 3-6'. Solidago canadensis on the other hand, grows 1-5’, linear leaves are smoother and more dentate. Look for these species from late July through September.
Due to hybridization, this species was verified by the Connecticut Botanical Society.
