A Perennial, erect, herb, downy forb plant, with milky juice; mostly single, stout, hairy stems, colony-forming roots with slightly drooping purplish to pink flower clusters. Stem simple 1-2m tall, unbranched, colonial. Leaves opposite, oblong ?" lanceolates, to oval. Umbels several, terminal and in the upper axils, many flowers, purple to greenish.
